I posted a quote in my stories that says “fear of abandonment often means we abandon ourselves” and it resonated deeply.
It made me think.
I try not to use negatives so I didn’t want to say “don’t abandon yourself” but I didn’t know what the actual antonym for abandon was. So I looked it up.
My clit has been a one-trick pony for most of my life. Don’t get me wrong, it’s a great trick. A powerful, body shaking orgasm, accessible after only a few minutes of direct clitoral stimulation. Nevertheless, after that one deliciously intense orgasm, my clit needed a time out for a while--at least a few hours. I learned to work around this limitation. I would plan my orgasm to happen toward the end of playtime as a culmination of our combined efforts. Or, if I was solo, I would have my orgasm right before going to sleep so that my clit was well rested in case I wanted to have a morning orgasm to start my day. I worked within my clitoral limitations.Read more
Happy Holidays from your favorite CannaSexual!
The following are products I love in the realm of cannabis accessories, self care items, and toys and accoutrements to help you feel more pleasure!
This list contains some affiliate links, which is great because that means that you get to support my work and buy awesome products at the same time! It’s a win-win! Also listed below are coupon codes that you can use at checkout to save some money (I know things can be tight around the holiday and every little bit helps!)
You’ll note that there are no THC-infused items on this list. That was intentional. Since not all of my readers live in California, it seemed prudent to only highlight products that can be purchased in all 50 states.

If you’re reading this, odds are you’re curious about using cannabis to enhance your lovemaking and make it more sensual. I have ideas. I have techniques. All that aside, the most important thing for you is the answer to the question, “What’s getting in the way of you incorporating sensuality into your lovemaking right now?”
I’m going to approach this question from a perspective of tackling the things that tend to get in the way of having sensual, connected sexy fun times with partners. The following three factors and their subsets are things I hear all the time from people who attend my workshops and clients who do relationship coaching with me. You’re not alone!Read more
For sexual purposes, you might wonder why microdosing matters, and how to incorporate a microdosing practice into your sex and cannabis experience.
For a bit of background, I chatted with Dr. Nick Karas, a sexologist and creator of The Passionate High whose work revolves around education and coaching for clients. “Microdosing is one of the most important and often overlooked aspects of using cannabis to improve sexuality and intimacy,” says Karas. “Master your unique combination of strain, dosage and intention. Detach from the outcome and expectations and enjoy the journey.” In a sense, dosage is just another knob you can fiddle with in order to dial in on the perfect elevated sexual experience for you and/or your partner.Read more
Note from Ashley: This is a guest post from a dear friend and attendee of Monique Darling's Wild Women Play Party, which I co-hosted. The event was welcoming to any women-identified folks. This reflection is provided by a lesbian identified cisgender woman, so please take this as her personal experience and not as a broad generalization about women-oriented play parties or those who attend them.
You know that feeling when your orgasm elicits applause from a room full of gorgeous, smart, powerful women in various stages of nudity? No? Well then— you’ve never participated in one of Monique Darling’s Wild Women play parties.
But before you let your imagination run amuck in pornographic images of Barbie-doll women soaping each other up in a giant bubble bath to swanky elevator music, I will tell you that nothing could be further from, or sexier than, the reality of this experience. Allow me to set the scene.
Note from Ashley: This post was written by one of the attendees of my Embodied Joy Play Party on 9/30/17. I was so touched and honored by her words that I asked permission to publish it directly on my blog and she graciously consented. Thank you so much to this incredible human and to everyone who comes out to my events. This is why I do this.
"I wasn’t certain what to expect when I pulled up and parked my dusty Subaru on that tranquil street. Dusk had just begun to gentle the strong Southern California sun. Immediately upon exiting my vehicle I was greeted by the bodacious and busty embrace of Miss Ashley Manta of CannaSexual. She had been waiting for me. Everyone had. Not only because, once everybody was accounted for the doors had to be locked for privacy, but also because that’s just who Ashley is. She is uniquely adapted to the career she has chosen, with her adorable smile, bright, engaging eyes and just overall loving demeanor. And it is just like her to come out and personally welcome each guest.Read more
Primordial. Cindy Capobianco of Lord Jones used that word to describe the consciousness-expanding event we had just witnessed and it felt entirely accurate. On April 18th at NeueHouse in Los Angeles, Lord Jones and Sigur Rós debuted their new edible gummy alongside a kaleidoscopic Sound bath and light show experience. It was a joy to witness and I left feeling simultaneously soothed to my core and blown wide open.Read more
I know it's been awhile since I've posted a blog. To be honest, I haven't felt very inspired to write. But then I remembered--I love the camera! So, I recorded a FB live video about the spectacular afternoon sex date that I had with B today. Contains discussions of: cannabis, energetic sex, Tantra, sensuality, relationships, sex toys and supplies, safer sex.Read more
Cannabis focused dating is very in right now. There are 21 million Google hits for “cannabis and dating,” cannabis-friendly dating services are offered by coaches like Molly Peckler, and if you’re technologically inclined — there’s an app for that. Several, in fact.
In the age of cell phones, it makes sense that singles would want a streamlined way to find prospective partners with similar interests. If you’re a cannabis consumer and you’ve ever dated someone who wasn’t, you’re familiar with the occasional frustration of navigating that interaction. It makes sense that one might want to find a partner with whom they can share their herbal indulgences.
To see whether they live up to the hype, I tried out three cannabis dating apps: High There, 420 Singles, and 420 Friends. I’ve been sporadically on Tinder for a couple years now, so that was my main basis for comparison.Read more
